Safe Harbor - Summer Rent Party 2009

T.Q. Diamonds was the proud sponsor of this year's "Treasure Chest Jewelry Raffle" at Safe Harbor's annual "Rent Party."  This event was held at the Edgewater Hotel on July 23^rd, 2009. Safe Harbor is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to bringing child abusers to justice by providing a safe place for victims to tell their story.

Mother’s Day Design Contest

On Friday, May 8^th, T.Q. Diamonds held our 3^rd annual Mother’s Day Pendant contest at Sunset Ridge Elementary School.  Fifth grade students in Mrs. Sage’s art classes were asked to design a pendant for their mother.  One winner was selected from each class, based on the design’s elegance, creativity, and use of material.  The winner’s design was then produced by our goldsmith at T.Q. Diamonds and presented to the students and their mothers in a special ceremony.  We look forward to seeing the designs from 2010’s contestants!

T.Q. Diamonds New Members of the AGTA

Timothy and Kimberly Quigley attended the AGTA GemFair held in Las Vegas May 29th thru June 2nd, 2009.  We are honored to become a member of such an elite organization as the AGTA.

American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) Members are proud to uphold the highest ethical standards in their business practices, agreeing to the Association's strict Code of Ethics and full disclosure of gemstone enhancements. This commitment to professionalism elevates the AGTA Members and sets them apart from the competition. In addition, these standards surpass those required by the Federal Trade Commission's guides for the jewelry industry.

Tucson Gem Show 2009

Tim & Kim Quigley just returned from attending the International Gem Show held in Tucson, Arizona every February.

First they attended the Centurion Luxury Jewelry Show and met with designers Haag Tacorian of Tacori and Philip Zahm of Zahm Gems among other designers.

Then on to the loose gemstone shows American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) and Gems & Jewelry Exchange (GJX).  These two shows primarily specialize in loose colored gemstones.

Their third and final stop took them to the outdoor tent area of the show.  This area specializes in rocks and minerals.

It was two great days under the bright Arizona sun with temperatures near 80 degrees.
