What does the M5 do?

Guided Exercise Program: Use your Suunto M5 as your very own personal trainer. To begin, set your personal exercise target for fitness improvement, weight management, or free training. Once your target is set and your fitness level is determined, the M5 will provide you with a daily workout schedule, show your progress with real-time guidance, and give you workout achievement summaries to help you achieve your goals.

Fitness Test: For the most accurate guidance during exercise, use the M5 fitness test to determine your fitness level. The fitness test usually takes 10-30 minutes, depending on your walking speed, and can be used to not only determine your fitness level, but to monitor your progress as well.

Heart Rate Monitor: The M5 comes with the Suunto Dual Comfort Heart Rate Belt so you can monitor your HR while you exercise. To ensure the most accurate reading of your HR, strap the HR belt to center of your chest and make sure the red arrow is pointing up. The Dual Comfort Belt is compatible with most cardio gym equipment and provides interference-free HR monitoring eliminating disturbances from power lines, and magnetic and electronic devices.

Exercise Summary: After each time you exercise, you can view a summary of the percentage completed from the guided exercise; duration of the exercise; amount of calories burned; average HR; and peak HR. The M5 also shows how long it takes for you to fully recover and when you are ready for a full intensity workout, dependent on your own personal fitness level. If you choose to save the information, you can later review your History & Trend, which is an accumulation of all the saved information over the last 4 weeks, along with other information.

Transfer Data to Movescount.com: With the addition of the Suunto Movestick you can upload your training data to Movescount.com. Movescount.com is a free online sports community designed to manage your "moves" or training logs, track your progress, and connect you with other fitness enthusiasts around the world. With the M5, you are also able to download any of the training programs from Movescount.com, using the Movestick.

Track Speed & Distance: With the addition of the Suunto Foot POD, GPS POD, or Bike POD you can track your real-time speed and distance while running or biking. The Suunto PODs communicate wirelessly with your M5 heart rate monitor. Please Note: The M5 is NOT compatible with the Suunto Cadence POD.

SUUNTO WATCH  - U.S. LIMITED WARRANTY

Suunto warrants to you that during the Warranty Period Suunto or a Suunto Authorized Service Center, such as TQ Diamonds, will, remedy defects in materials or workmanship free of charge, at its sole discretion, by either a) repairing the Product or the parts or b) replacing the Product or the parts or c) refunding the purchase price of the Product, subject to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty is only valid and enforceable in the country where you have purchased the Product provided that Suunto has intended the Product for sale in that country.

Your  Warranty Period starts at the date of retail purchase by the original end-user purchaser. The Product may consist of several different parts and different parts may be covered by a different warranty period (hereinafter "Warranty Period"). The different Warranty Periods are:
a. Two (2) years for the Wristop computers
b. Two (2) years for the Diving computers
c. Two (2) years for the Precision instruments
d. Ten (10) years for the Marine Compasses
e. Limited Life time for the Field Compasses
f. One (1) year for the consumable parts and accessories including (but not limited to) chargeable batteries, chargers, docking stations, straps, cables and hoses (whether included in the sales package or sold separately).

To the extent your national laws permit, the Warranty Period will not be extended or renewed or otherwise affected due to subsequent resale, Suunto authorized repair or replacement of the Product.

This warranty is void if your watch was purchased from an online auction site or  has been damaged by unauthorized service, negligence or accident, or other causes not relating to defective material or workmanship.
